Unfortunately this industry is rife with cowboys. People with a couple of plasters, expired defib, no insurance, barely qualified and calling themselves medics. They will offer their services for a fraction of the price; in this industry you get what you pay for.
There are too many horror stories in this industry about malpractice, paramedics being struck off, companies going under due to debts, cowboys taking your money and running:
In 2025, Emergency Response Systems Global filed for liquidation owing £1.2 million to creditors.
In 2024, Polaris Medical Services went in to administration owing £2.6 million to creditors.
In 2022, Medrescue 24 Ltd liquidated with nearly £1 million in liabilities.
In 2021, Extreme Medicine Group liquidated with nearly £2 million in liabilities.
In 2019, Jigsaw Medical Services dissolved with £1.95 million in liabilities.
Cutting costs also risks cutting corners:
"Evidence came out that the medical equipment available at Dominic’s event was incomplete and there was medication missing. The medical crew didn’t all have experience in boxing events. The medical provision at the event was inappropriate" ~ Dominic Chapman Inquest
"First-aid treatment offered to an injured nine-year-old boy at a golf summer camp was described in the Circuit Civil Court as egregiously inappropriate and inadequate. Frozen meat used as first aid for broken arm at golf club 'inappropriate', says judge " ~ The Irish Times
"What unfolded after Mark Townsend collapsed, Dr Stones described the pre-hospital care received at the ground as 'among the worst' he had seen and a 'shambles'. The first paramedics did not arrive for 10 minutes. They had a defibrillator but no oxygen. Two shocks were given to Mr Townsend from the defibrillator before its battery went flat." ~ The Independant
"A coroner has criticised the 'minimal' training and lack of basic medical kit provided by a private ambulance firm after a teenager died following a music gig at Dreamland in Margate. A new report found the private crew lacked proper equipment and experience." ~ Kent Online

Yes I do. I only use the best equipment. No knock-off brands, expired, Temu import rubbish. My equipment meets and exceeds HSE and NHS standards.
And unlike other companies, I will not charge you to replace any equipment I have used. Medical equipment and consumables are most often one-time use and I do not buy equipment purely based on the price, I only use reputable brands. You should only be paying for my time and my expertise.

Anyone working for OnMedics holds at least First Response Emergency Care Level 4 (FREC4) and Out of Hospital Adult Immediate Life Support Level Level 4 (ILS). We aren't just simple "First Aiders", we are qualified to provide emergency pre-hospital care. These qualifications allow us to deal with a wide range of situations; from something as minor as a splinter to a cardiac arrest. These qualifications require a yearly refresher along side a minimum yearly clinical and CPD hours requirement, so you know we are always up to date.
Our medics are trained in a wide variety of skills such as CPR, adult & paediatric ILS, airways management, assessment of injuries, administration of medical gases, traumatic injury management, catastrophic bleeds, anaphylaxis, major incidents and much much more.
If you require a medic at a higher qualification level, such as an EMT or Paramedic, please get in touch and I will source one for you if available. This will be subject to enhanced rates.
Please be aware that if I deem the requirement to be beyond what we consider an acceptable level of risk, I may not be able to provide you with any cover. In the event we are unable to service your request we will be more than happy to point you in the direction of another provider who may be better equipped to fulfil your needs.

Hours worked will be agreed beforehand. Typically, we will start when your venue or event opens, or just before, until it closes. In the case of sets, time worked is from “Call Time” to “Wrap” to include prep time when appropriate or necessary. Rates cover travel to 1 specified location. Any further moves will be subject to expenses charges unless otherwise pre-agreed.
Rates are negotiable depending on the work itself, but to give you an idea of our typical rates:
A deposit may be required, to cover us in case of last minute cancellations
Medic services are then charged at a standard hourly rate for the services provided thereafter up to 12 hours. The amount depends on the event, the skill level and amount of cover you require
We do not charge a further initial deposit for subsequent, continuous days
Night rates (22:00-06:00) are subject to a 1.5x enhancement, this will only be charged for hours running after 10pm
Events running over 12 hours will be subject to an overtime enhancement at 33%
Unlike other companies, you will not be charged for any equipment used, or for replacing any used consumables
Rates are negotiable dependant on the event, the requirements, and if you plan to use our services continuously. OnMedics will consider discounted rates for anyone wishing to use us as their exclusive provider of first aid services. Please get in touch with us to discuss, we are more than willing to accommodate your requests wherever possible.

All requests will be considered and assessed on an individual basis, there is no set exclusion criteria. All requests will be thoroughly risk assessed by myself, the most important thing to consider is "how many medics do I need?" As a sole trader I typically operate on my own, covering smaller events and locations. I can adequately cover a small film set or a nightclub, or even a small race-track; but I would not be able to cover a large music festival on my own. That's not to say I wouldn't consider the work, but it would require me to request the assistance of colleagues from other companies and sub-contractors to meet a safe level of staffing. The most common reason why I may reject a request is due to an inadequate number of suitably trained medics when compared to the size and risk of the event. As part of the risk assessment I will establish how many medics would be recommended for the event.
These are some of the factors I will consider when looking at covering your event:
Previous event data. For example, whether you've run the event before, and the previous injury rates.
The type of event. For example, whether it’s an advert shoot or a full contact sport event such as boxing.
If it is being held indoors or outdoors.
The type of venue: clubs, movie sets, sports facilities, public places, or private property.
Potential patients. For example: just you and your staff, members of the public, and participants of the event. We will also assess the age groups, the risk of alcohol consumption and drug use, the possibility of violence, and other potential impact factors.
Amount of attendees. This number will vary based on the event.
The kind of activity being carried out and your risk assessment of it.
Time of year (this is mostly relevant to events being hosted outdoors).
I may not be able to fulfil your request if I do not consider the level of medical cover that you have requested to be adequate for the size or risks of your event; I will explain my rationale and suggest what I consider to be a suitable level of medical cover. I am unable to accept your booking until we have both agreed a safe level of cover. But I will be more than happy to help conduct your assessment and adjust to meet your needs. The primary focus is everyone's safety.
